| In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful. | Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi | |
| 045:001 | H. M. | Ha-meem |
| 045:002 | The revelation of the Scripture is from God, the Noble, the Wise. | Tanzeelu alkitabi mina Allahi alAAazeezi alhakeemi |
| 045:003 | In the heavens and the Earth are signs for the believers. | Inna fee alssamawati waal-ardi laayatin lilmu/mineena |
| 045:004 | And in your creation, and what creatures He puts forth are signs for people who are certain. | Wafee khalqikum wama yabuththu min dabbatin ayatun liqawmin yooqinoona |
| 045:005 | And the alternation of the night and the day, and what God sends down from the sky of provisions to revive the land after its death, and the changing of the winds; are signs for a people who understand. | Waikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari wama anzala Allahu mina alssama-i min rizqin faahya bihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha watasreefi alrriyahi ayatun liqawmin yaAAqiloona |
| 045:006 | These are God's revelations that We recite to you with truth. So, in which narration, after God and His revelations, do they believe? | Tilka ayatu Allahi natlooha AAalayka bialhaqqi fabi-ayyi hadeethin baAAda Allahi waayatihi yu/minoona |
| 045:007 | Woe to every sinful fabricator. | Waylun likulli affakin atheemin |
| 045:008 | He hears God's revelations being recited to him, then he persists arrogantly, as if he never heard them. Give him news of a painful retribution. | YasmaAAu ayati Allahi tutla AAalayhi thumma yusirru mustakbiran kaan lam yasmaAAha fabashshirhu biAAathabin aleemin |
| 045:009 | And if he learns anything from Our revelations, he makes fun of them. For these will be a humiliating retribution. | Wa-itha AAalima min ayatina shay-an ittakhathaha huzuwan ola-ika lahum AAathabun muheenun |
| 045:010 | Waiting for them is Hell. And that which they earned will not help them, nor those whom they have taken as allies besides God, and for them is a terrible retribution. | Min wara-ihim jahannamu wala yughnee AAanhum ma kasaboo shay-an wala ma ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa walahum AAathabun AAatheemun |
| 045:011 | This is a guidance. And those who reject the revelations of their Lord, for them is an affliction of a painful retribution. | Hatha hudan waallatheena kafaroo bi-ayati rabbihim lahum AAathabun min rijzin aleemin |

| 045:012 | God is the One who committed the sea in your service, so that the ships can sail in it by His command, and that you may seek of His provisions, and that you may be appreciative. | Allahu allathee sakhkhara lakumu albahra litajriya alfulku feehi bi-amrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona |
| 045:013 | And He committed in your service all that is in the heavens and in the Earth; all from Him. In that are signs for a people who reflect. | Wasakhkhara lakum ma fee alssamawati wama fee al-ardi jameeAAan minhu inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona |
| 045:014 | Say to those who believed to forgive those who do not look forward to the days of God. He will fully recompense people for whatever they have earned. | Qul lillatheena amanoo yaghfiroo lillatheena la yarjoona ayyama Allahi liyajziya qawman bima kanoo yaksiboona |
| 045:015 | Whoever works good does so for himself, and whoever works evil will suffer it. Then to your Lord you will be returned. | Man AAamila salihan falinafsihi waman asaa faAAalayha thumma ila rabbikum turjaAAoona |
| 045:016 | And We had given the Children of Israel the Scripture, and the judgment, and the prophethood, and We provided them with good provisions; and We preferred them over the worlds. | Walaqad atayna banee isra-eela alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati wafaddalnahum AAala alAAalameena |
| 045:017 | And We gave them clarity in the matter, but then they disputed after the knowledge had come to them, out of jealousy amongst themselves. Your Lord will judge them on the Day of Resurrection regarding everything that they have disputed. | Waataynahum bayyinatin mina al-amri fama ikhtalafoo illa min baAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona |
| 045:018 | Then We have established you on the correct path; so follow it and do not follow the desires of those who do not know. | Thumma jaAAalnaka AAala shareeAAatin mina al-amri faittabiAAha wala tattabiAA ahwaa allatheena la yaAAlamoona |
| 045:019 | They cannot help you against God in the least. And the transgressors are allies to one another, while God is the Protector of the righteous. | Innahum lan yughnoo AAanka mina Allahi shay-an wa-inna alththalimeena baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin waAllahu waliyyu almuttaqeena |
| 045:020 | This is a physical evidence for the people, and a guidance and a mercy for a people who are certain. | Hatha basa-iru lilnnasi wahudan warahmatun liqawmin yooqinoona |
| 045:021 | Or do those who work evil expect that We would treat them the same as those who believe and do good works, in their present life and their death? Miserable is how they judge. | Am hasiba allatheena ijtarahoo alssayyi-ati an najAAalahum kaallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sawaan mahyahum wamamatuhum saa ma yahkumoona |

| 045:022 | And God created the heavens and the Earth with truth, and so that every soul may be recompensed for whatever it earned, and they will not be wronged. | Wakhalaqa Allahu alssamawati waal-arda bialhaqqi walitujza kullu nafsin bima kasabat wahum la yuthlamoona |
| 045:023 | Have you seen the one who took his ego as his god, and God led him astray, despite his knowledge, and He sealed his hearing and his heart, and He made a veil on his eyes? Who then can guide him after God? Will you not remember? | Afaraayta mani ittakhatha ilahahu hawahu waadallahu Allahu AAala AAilmin wakhatama AAala samAAihi waqalbihi wajaAAala AAala basarihi ghishawatan faman yahdeehi min baAAdi Allahi afala tathakkaroona |
| 045:024 | And they said: "There is nothing but this worldly life; we die and we live and nothing destroys us except the passing of time!" And they have no knowledge about this; they only conjecture. | Waqaloo ma hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama yuhlikuna illa alddahru wama lahum bithalika min AAilmin in hum illa yathunnoona |
| 045:025 | And when Our clear revelations are recited to them, their only argument is to Say: "Then bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful." | Wa-itha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin ma kana hujjatahum illa an qaloo i/too bi-aba-ina in kuntum sadiqeena |
| 045:026 | Say: "God gives you life, then He puts you to death, then He will gather you to the Day of Resurrection, in which there is no doubt. But most people do not know." | Quli Allahu yuhyeekum thumma yumeetukum thumma yajmaAAukum ila yawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona |

| 045:027 | And to God is the sovereignty of the heavens and the Earth. And on the Day the Hour comes to pass, on that Day the falsifiers will lose. | Walillahi mulku alssamawati waal-ardi wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yawma-ithin yakhsaru almubtiloona |
| 045:028 | And you will see every nation lined-up together. Every nation will be called to its record. "Today, you be recompensed for everything you have done." | Watara kulla ommatin jathiyatan kullu ommatin tudAAa ila kitabiha alyawma tujzawna ma kuntum taAAmaloona |
| 045:029 | "This is Our record; it utters the truth about you. We have been recording everything you did." | Hatha kitabuna yantiqu AAalaykum bialhaqqi inna kunna nastansikhu ma kuntum taAAmaloona |
| 045:030 | As for those who believe and did good works, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. Such is the clear triumph. | Faamma allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fayudkhiluhum rabbuhum fee rahmatihi thalika huwa alfawzu almubeenu |
| 045:031 | As for those who disbelieve: "Were not My revelations recited to you, but you turned arrogant and were a criminal people?" | Waamma allatheena kafaroo afalam takun ayatee tutla AAalaykum faistakbartum wakuntum qawman mujrimeena |
| 045:032 | And when it was said: "Surely God's promise is the truth, and there is no doubt about the coming of the Hour," you said: "We do not know what the Hour is! We are full of conjecture about it; we are not certain." | Wa-itha qeela inna waAAda Allahi haqqun waalssaAAatu la rayba feeha qultum ma nadree ma alssaAAatu in nathunnu illa thannan wama nahnu bimustayqineena |
| 045:033 | And the evils of their works will become evident to them, and the very thing they ridiculed will be their doom. | Wabada lahum sayyi-atu ma AAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona |
| 045:034 | And it will be said to them: "Today We will forget you, just as you forgot the meeting of this Day. And your abode is the Fire, and you will have no helpers." | Waqeela alyawma nansakum kama naseetum liqaa yawmikum hatha wama/wakumu alnnaru wama lakum min nasireena |
| 045:035 | "This is because you took God's revelations in mockery, and you were deceived by the worldly life." So from this Day, they will never exit therefrom, nor will they be excused. | Thalikum bi-annakumu ittakhathtum ayati Allahi huzuwan wagharratkumu alhayatu alddunya faalyawma la yukhrajoona minha wala hum yustaAAtaboona |
| 045:036 | To God belongs all praise; the Lord of the heavens, and the Lord of the Earth; the Lord of the worlds. | Falillahi alhamdu rabbi alssamawati warabbi al-ardi rabbi alAAalameena |
| 045:037 | And to Him belongs all majesty in the heavens and the Earth. He is the Noble, the Wise. | Walahu alkibriyao fee alssamawati waal-ardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu |
