In that vessel he witnessed the capture of Banda-Neira, by the squadron under Captain (now Sir Christopher) Cole, Aug. 9th, 1810[1]. He obtained the rank of commander, June 15th, 1814; and died at Pisa, in Italy, Dec. 26th, 1822.
