This transcription is of a facsimile of the 'First Folio' of Shakespeare's plays published in 1623.The transcription has closely replicated the printed text, the only changes made being the conversion of occasional uses of 'vv' to 'w' and not using the long 's' (it is a transcription, not a reproduction). The printed text is densely packed. To aid reading a specific spacing convention has been adopted, as described in the 'Discussion' tab.The division of the plays into Acts/Scenes is erratic. Where a play is divided into Acts only, then this has been replicated; where Acts and Scenes are demarcated, likewise. In those instances where there is no explicit demarcation, the text has been divided up into acts and scenes per modern editions of the respective work.Although not listed in the Contents page, this folio contains 'Troilus and Cressida' (the first work in the 'Tragedies' section). An entry has been created in the appropriate place in the ToC.
