Rowley re: A frog who would a wooing go.

It is said that nobody knows who Anthony Rowley was. I am sure there are many Rowleys to choose from in Suffolk. However, it should be noted that Charles the second was named Old Rowley after his favourite Stallion stabled at Newmarket, as an inference to his escapades with multiple mistresses. The oldest racecourse at Newmarket being called the Rowley Mile after the stallion, or one of the two anyway. 81.156.142.211 13:12, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
