Talk:Baird's Manual of American College Fraternities (1879)/Sigma Chi

The Wooster Chapter became inactive in 1913 with all other Greek groups by order of the board of trustees. They then took on the letters Kappa Kappa Kappa until that became politically incorrect during the civil rights movement. The group then took on the letters Kappa Chi (nicknamed the "Crappers") in recognition of both earlier names. Four members pleaded no contest to hazing charges in the '90s and the group no longer exists in any form at the College. In no way could it be described as flourishing.

Perhaps you did not notice this book was published in 1879.--BirgitteSB 19:26, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
