This is a useful source, but im Thurn, the author was both an explorer and a colonial magistrate in what is now Guyana for many years. It is possible he was biassed towards Eyre. Other accounts of Eyre, both before and after this was written, are less sympathetic. The DNB is not necessarily an impartial authority.Delahays (talk) 18:46, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
