A missing "no"

I inserted a "no" into the first sentence of the 8th paragraph of VII. The sentence does not make sense without it. I assume that it is in the original text but have not yet checked. unsigned comment by 116.232.1.141 (talk) 14:46, 12 August 2008.

In the Project Gutenberg etext, it says he was "Pius IX himself was troubled by doubts". We would need pagescans to prove that their transcription is incorrect. John Vandenberg (chat) 06:46, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I'll try to get hold of a copy of the book to check. Meanwhile, we'll leave it without the "no".
I have checked the original, and I am right there is a "no". You can verify it by checking this link: http://www.bartleby.com/189/107.html So I have now reinserted the "no"
