What's to be done with the notes? edit

The text from which this translation has been transcribed contains also a great quantity of notes, which currently are not represented in the Main namespace at all. They are formatted as annotations to paragraphs organized sequentially and separated by book. How best can they be represented in the text? To each book a page represented as they are in the book, with each note wikilinked to its subject seems the most obvious, but could something also be done to indicate the notes in the main text?
