John Mohr McIntosh vs John Mackintosh-Moore edit

The name of the first signer is spelled John Mohr McIntosh, not John Mackintosh-Moore, in the sources where I've seen this, e.g.: The seed that was sown in the colony of Georgia Page 30 by Charles Spalding Wylly (by a relative of his), the biography "Thomas Spalding" (another relative) by Coulter, and [1] --NealMcB (talk) 22:50, 4 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I confirm the above. Customarily the US sources for this petition spell it "Mohr", not 'Moore' and there is no hyphen. Mackintosh seems to have been originally from Lynwilg, and 'Mohr' is very likely to have been a corruption of the Gaelic form 'Mhor' - (Ellis Island's roots go back far beyond independence) - so he was probably a big man, in all senses. Unless there is any strong objection from the original contributor, who seems to have omitted a source for the text, I propose to edit accordingly in the near future,Delahays (talk) 10:15, 19 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
