Figures missing edit

I'm not familiar with the work, but there's references to 50 figures in the text, but they're not in the 49 page scanned PDF that was used for transcription. --Ashawley (talk) 15:02, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I found this document in searching for schematic diagrams of Turing's circuits for the ACE. The diagrams are indeed missing from the source pdf, but they do exist somewhere. I bought a used book that has a reproduction of the paper, complete with the figures: "Turing's Electronic Brain". As an aside, surviving documents on historic computing machines often have missing or illegible circuit diagrams. It seems there's a view on the part of some archivists that circuit diagams are supplemental to the words of the author but not essential, when actually the diagrams may be the primary source of meaning in the text.
