Text discrepancy edit

I'm editing this story using the 1978 compilation 'Black Canaan', by Berkley Publishing Corporation.

The line in the wikisource text reads: 'I-I-I'm sorry, Jim,' whereas my copy reads 'I'm sorry, Jim,' (pg53, paragraph 6 in my copy) as does the [Gutenberg Australia text|http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks06/0601751.txt]: The Wikisource text has some errors that the Gutenberg one does not so I am assuming they are based on different OCRs. However neither specify what printing they are based on. How do I choose which one is correct? I'm going to alter it to match mine, but place a reference. --Canageek (talk) 22:17, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I was wrong, on looking at the version history this text was copied from Project Gutenberg Australia, and I can't find any edition information there either. If anyone has another edition I'd be very grateful. I'm not going to try and find every difference, but I will note any I notice.--Canageek (talk) 22:25, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
It seems that the text discrepancy has been resolved, as after the comments above were made, a source scan was added and verified against. Kaldari (talk) 15:55, 15 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
