This is a documentation subpage for Template:Americana link.

Purpose

This template enables linking from Wikisource articles (usually author pages) to articles in the Wikisource The Encyclopedia Americana project(s).

Usage

{{Americana link|name of the article}}

An author can be added with the optional author parameter. The year defaults to 1920 and can be changed using the optional year parameter.

Example

{{Americana link|Langbein, August Friedrich Ernst}}

displays as:

"Langbein, August Friedrich Ernst," in The Encyclopedia Americana, New York: The Encyclopedia Americana Corporation (1920)
