This template is intended for use on the Index:The English hymnal (1906).djvu (i.e. the version with tunes and harmonisations) retranscription project, as a way to standardise and facilitate formatting. It should be placed immediately before the lilypond score.

Usage

Typical use

Additional |description-middle= and |description-top= parameters are available if required. |description-alternative= is provided for use with alternative tunes or settings, such as for example Page:The English hymnal (1906).djvu/35.

The template will automatically add a period at the end of the tempo mark and an "equals" sign at the appropriate position, unless no tempo symbol is specified.

Full version

The only parameters which are required (do not have a default value) are |number= and |description=. Everything else can be omitted if not needed.
