This template is intended to be used where :
- a text contains a typeset approximation or representation of an abbreviation used in an original handwritten manuscript, or
- is in a format such as w:Record type, and
- that cannot be presented by standard characters, or is not widely supported in Unicode yet.
- where an explanation of the unusual form, is deirable.
