Usage edit
To welcome new contributions on User talk pages.
Copy or type the template:

or use a substitution:
{{subst:welcome}}
Substitution will not reflect updates, leaving only the content of the template on the page.
Parameters edit
Use one of the following three parameters to customise the greeting that acknowledges a specific contribution:

- newpage=<pagename> - user added a page
- page=<pagename> - modified a page
- pagefix=<pagename> - fixed a page
