Template talk:NARA linked

Latest comment: 12 years ago by Billinghurst

So, obviously, this isn't true yet. :-)

However, we are proposing this to the people at NARA who can make it true, so this was my idea for a talk page banner to help allay their fears that the wiki nature of the project might mean links are unstable. As long as we are being conscious of the downstream use of our pages on the rare occasion that we need to rename or alter a page, I think it should be safe for them to make permanent links to pages. Which would be very cool. Dominic (talk) 19:50, 14 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like a good idea, and I would think that we would look to lock the pages in place (apply {{locked}}), and probably with admin move protection. We would do well to ensure that we place {{edition}} in the notes, and complete {{textinfo}} or a NARA variation of such. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:07, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
