Malavya, Hon’ble Pandit Madan Mohan B.A., LL.b., Vakil, Allahabad; b. 1861; s. of late Pandit Braj Nath, whose ancestors belonged to Malwa; educ: Muir Central College, Allahabad; joined service as Teacher, Government High School, Allahabad, 1887; Editor, “Hindustan”, and “Indian Union”; started a weekly paper “Abbyudaya” and was one of those who worked for the establishment of the “Leader”, Allahabad; Secretary, N.W P., Association and of the Standing Congress Committee, Allahabad, 1887; presided over the Lucknow Conference. 1908; presided over the I.N.C., 1909; Member, Nainital Industrial Conference, 1907; gave evidence before the Royal Public Services Commission, 1912; a prominent member of the Hindu University Committee; Member, Imperial Legislative Council, India.
