Thus God speaketh once, yea, twice, yet Man perceiveth it not. In a Dream, in a Vision of the Night, when deep sleep falleth upon Men, in slumberings upon the Bed, Then he openeth the Ears of Men, & sealeth their instruction

They ran the ship aground, and the fore part stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the under part was broken by the violence of the waves.

Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island;
Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer; for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

And so it came to pass that the escaped all safe to the land.


Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.
In thoughts from the visions of the night, when dead sleep falleth on men.

Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man.
To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.
