GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG, gẽt'ẽr-dĕm'ẽr-ụng (Ger., Twilight of the Gods). The last of the four divisions of Wagner's music drama, Der Ring des Nibelungen. It was first produced on August 17, 1876, at Bayreuth. See Ring of the Nibelungen.
