Min′neha″ha, Falls of, are near Fort Snelling, about five miles from Minneapolis on a little stream flowing from Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun. They are 59 feet high, and, though not a large body of water, the spray and sparkle of the waters together make it deserve the name of Laughing Water, which is the meaning of the word. Longfellow made it famous in his Hiawatha.
