North A′dams, a manufacturing town of Massachusetts, is situated on Hoosac River, at the junction of the north and south branch, near the west end of Hoosac Tunnel, 143 miles from Boston. It has large cotton and woolen mills, shoe and print factories, machine shops, leather manufactories and foundries.
