Queen Char'lotte Islands, a group north of Vancouver Island, off British Columbia. Area 5,100 square miles. The two principal islands, Graham and Moresby, have a length of 160 and a greatest breadth of nearly 70 miles. The climate is healthy, but very rainy. Anthracite, copper, iron-ore and gold-bearing quartz have been found, and forests abound. The inhabitants are about 1,000 Indians, who engage in fishing.
