OBITUARY
Mr. Edmund Whytehead Howson, assistant master and house-master at Harrow, died, after a long illness, on the evening of Monday. His death will be mourned by a large circle of personal friends, and by several generations of old Harrovians, his pupils in the headmaster's house, and the members of "Druries," of which he has been house-master since 1894. Mr. Howson, who was at one time a Fellow of King's College, Cambridge, graduated in 1878, when he was bracketed fifth classic and was a Member's prizeman, having won the Browne's medal for the Latin ode two years before. he leaves a widow, the daughter of a former headmaster of Harrow, Dr. Butler, the present Master of Trinity. The funeral will take place at Harrow on Thursday, ad the first part of the services will be held in the school at 2o'clock.
