Claims the Barony of Carmichael in Lanarkshire, dormant since the death of Andrew, 6th Earl of Hyndford, and 7th Lord Carmichael in 1817, as heir-male through his ancestor Andrew Carmichael, Provost of Dungannon, of James, 1st Lord Carmichael.
