Norfolk Regt; served in the South African War (medal); High Sheriff of Co. Wicklow in 1395; Justice of the Peace, Co. Wicklow; Hon. Secretary of the General Synod of the Church of Ireland; Chairman of the Royal National Hospital for Consumption for Ireland; Vice-Chairman of the Royal Irish Automobile Club; son of Augustus Colley de Vere Wellesley (d. 1873); b. 1860; m. 1888, Claudine Isabella, 2nd dau. of the late T. W. O. Humphreys, of Donaghnure House, Co. Tyrone, and has issue four sons and one dau., of whom two sons were killed during the late war. Res.: Bromley, Kilpedder, Co. Wicklow.
