of Lifting of Martial Law in Some Areas

Phrabat Somdet Phra Paramin Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej gives a great royal command by which He orders with His pleasure that it be announced as follows:

Whereas He entertains an opinion that after the issuance of the Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform dated the 19th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era, which imposed the Martial Law throughout the Kingdom from 21:05 hours of the 19th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era onwards, the situations in some areas now no longer require the application of the Martial Law;

Therefore, He commands with His pleasure, by virtue of the power under section 5 of the Martial Law Act, 2457 Buddhist Era, that the Martial Law be lifted in some areas and be retained in certain areas as follows:

Article1.The Martial Law shall be lifted in all areas throughout the Kingdom, except those specified in article 2.

Article2.The areas in which the Martial Law imposed by the Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform dated the 19th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era is retained are the following areas:

(1)Kanchanaburi Province: only Dan Makham Tia District; Thong Pha Phum District; Sai Yok District; Si Sawat District; Sangkhla Buri District; and Ban Kao Subdistrict, Mueang Kanchanaburi District;

(2)Kamphaeng Phet Province: all districts;

(3)Khon Kaen Province: all districts;

(4)Chanthaburi Province: only Khlung District, Pong Nam Ron District, and Soi Dao District;

(5)Chaiyaphum Province: all districts;

(6)Chiang Rai Province: all districts;

(7)Chiang Mai Province: all districts;

(8)Trat Province: only Khlong Yai District; Bo Rai District; Mueang Trat District; and Ko Kut Minor District and Ko Chang Minor District, Laem Ngop District;

(9)Tak Province: only Ta Song Yang District; Phop Phra District; Mae Ramat District; Mae Sot District; Um Phang District; and Wang Chao Minor District, Mueang Tak District;

(10)Nakhon Ratchasima Province: all districts;

(11)Narathiwat Province: all districts;

(12)Nan Province: only Chaoloem Phra Kiat District, Thung Chang District, Bo Kluea District, Pua District, Mae Charim District, and Song Khwae District;

(13)Buri Ram Province: all districts;

(14)Prachuap Khiri Khan Province: only Sam Krathai District; Hat Kham Subdistrict, Kui Buri District; Khao Lan Subdistrict, Na Hu Kwang Subdistrict, Huai Yang Subdistrict, and Ang THong Subdistrict, Thap Sakae District; Chai Kasem Subdistrict, Thong Mongkhon Subdistrict, and Ron Thong Subdistrict, Bang Saphan District; Chang Raek Subdistrict and Chai Rat Subdistrict, Bang Saphan Noi District; Khao Chao Subdistrict, Pran Buri District, Rai Kao Subdistrict, Salalai Subdistrict, and Sila Loi Subdistrict, Sam Roi Yot District; Huai Sat Yai Subdistrict, Hua Hin District; Ko Lak Subdistrict, Khlong Wan Subdistrict, Huai Sai Subdistrict, and Ao Noi Subdistrict, Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan District;

(15)Pattani Province: all districts;

(16)Phayao Province: only Chiang Kham District and Phu Sang Minor District, Chiang Kham District;

(17)Phitsanulok Province: only Chat Trakan District and Nakhon Thai District;

(18)Phetchaburi Province: only Kaeng Krachan District and Nong Ya Plong District;

(19)Mae Hong Son Province: all districts;

(20)Maha Sarakham Province: all districts;

(21)Yala Province: all districts;

(22)Ratchaburi Province: only Suan Phueng District and Ban Kha Minor District, Suan Phueng District;

(23)Roi Et Province: all districts;

(24)Ranong Province: only Kra Buri District; Kapoe District; La-un District; and Sai Daeng Subdistrict, Pak Nam Subdistrict, and Ratchakrut Subdistrict, Mueang Ranong District;

(25)Loei Province: all districts;

(26)Si Sa Ket Province: all districts;

(27)Satun Province: only Khuan Don District; Tha Phae District; La-ngu District; and Ketri Subdistrict, Khlong Khut Subdistrict, Tam Malang Subdistrict, and Puyu Subdistrict, Mueang Satun District;

(28)Songkhla Province: only Chana District, Thepha District, Na Thawi District, Sadao District, and Saba Yoi District;

(29)Sa Kaeo Province: only Khlong Hat District; Ta Phraya District; Wang Nam Yen District; Watthana Nakhon District; Aranyaprathet District; Khok Sung Minor District, Ta Phraya District; and Wang Sombun Minor District, Wang Nam Yen District;

(30)Surin Province: all districts;

(31)Nong Bua Lam Phu Province: all districts;

(32)Amnat Charoen Province: all districts;

(33)Udon Thani Province: all districts;

(34)Uttaradit Province: only Nam Pat District, Ban Khok District, and Fak Tha District;

(35)Ubon Ratchathani Province: all districts.

This Announcement shall take effect from now on.

Announced on the 26th day of January 2550 BE.
