Announcement Promulgating
a Court of Justice Charter and
a Civil Procedure Act,
127 Rattanakosin Era, 41st Year of the Present Reign
There is a great royal command from His Majesty King Paramin Maha Chulalongkorn Phra Chunlachomklao Chaoyuhua declaring to all that it be announced for general knowledge as follows: The charters of all courts in Krung Thep and outer towns and the Civil Procedure Act, which are now in use in all courts by virtue of His royal permission, have been amended from time to time to suit their purposes, for which reason the laws regarding the powers of all courts and their procedure are scattering in many places. Now that He entertains an opinion that they ought to be compiled into chapters in order to increase facilitation for the trial of all cases, He orders with His gracious pleasure that a Court of Justice Charter and a Civil Procedure Act hereto annexed shall be enacted, and any of the previously announced legal provisions in relation to the powers of all courts and civil procedure which are contrary to these Acts shall all be repealed from the day of promulgation of these Acts onwards.
Announced on the 1st day of June 127 Rattanakosin Era,[1] being the 41st year of this reign, the 14,447th day of this present reign.
