In executing their duties under this Act, competent authorities shall become senior administrative or police officers under the Criminal Procedure Code, shall have the power to receive complaints or receive denunciations, and shall have the power to conduct investigation and inquiry, only with respect to the crimes under this Act.
In arresting, holding in custody, searching, making inquiry files as to, and prosecuting criminals under this Act, which are purely the powers of senior administrative or police officers or public prosecutors under the Criminal Procedure Code, competent authorities shall coordinate with responsible inquiry officers for further carrying out of activities under their authority.
The Prime Minister, in his capacity as the supervisor of the Royal Thai Police Headquarters, and the Minister shall have joint power to lay down rules on guidance and procedure for the carrying out of the activities under paragraph 2.
