I heard in his name, he rebuked someone who told him he has no time to learn. He said, nevertheless the right thing is for him to snatch some time to study Torah every day. And this is precisely what our Rabbis obm said (Shabbat 31), That [in Heaven] they ask a man, "Qaba`ta `ittim laTorah/ Did you fix a time to learn Torah?" "Qaba`" is a term for stealing, as written (Prov. 22), "Weqaba` eth-qob`eihem nafesh/ And rob of life those who stole from them." Namely they ask a man if he stole time from when he was encumbered in his affairs, Did you from them take time for Torah? For a man needs to snatch and steal times for Torah from within his toil and business.
