(In memory of the Author of „Namaszczony”.)[1]

I.
Foamy space of gigantic billow,
            O mother of auroras!
Low, by the stars of the night gilded,
            Cradle of storms!
Great you are, bottomless – giant,
Looking on you, my thought like an eagle
Breaks up – flies up – and sings inspired!
How much in the universes greater This name,
Which created you!... Jehovah! Jehovah!...
Your head watches over sea of history
            My nation trust you!

II.
Foamy space of gigantic billow,
            The homeland of auroras,
Great is the sea put to sleep by stars,
            Cradle of storms!
Bottomless black [of] the abysss of the darknasses.
But my spirit deeper – fuller of the secrets,
Greater spirit of man! that he didn't frighten –
And how great this! who did create the spirit?...
Who with chain of tones bonded the stars of suns
O Creator! Listen over the sea without end,
            My nation trust you!

III.
Foamy space of gigantic billow,
            The homeland of auroras,
Great is the sea by gales woken up,
            In upthunders of the storms!...
When foamed manes of his billows
Kicking up in the sky with hellishing glow –
Among darknesess torning apart with lightnings
But the spirit of nation [is] fuller of the secrets,
When it gets up from dead!... Spirit of peoples of spirit
Lands and seas thunders to your ear,
            My nation trust you!
