Adopted unanimously by the Security Council at its 472nd meeting, on 24 May 1950 [1]

The Security Council,

Having considered the communication from the Secretary-General dated 13 May 1949, [2]

1. Takes note of General Assembly resolution 268 B (III) of 28 April 1949;

2. Decides, should an appropriate occasion arise, to base its action upon the principles contained therein.
