Chap. XLVI.—An Act to continue in force the act passed on the twentieth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, entitled “An act supplementary to an act, entitled ‘An act to regulate the collection of duties on imports and tonnage,’ passed the second day of March, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine,” and for other purposes.
Act of 20th April, 1818, continued in force until 4th March, 1823.

Act of April 20, 1818, ch. 74.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the act passed on the twentieth day of April, in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, entitled “An act supplementary to an act, entitled ‘An act to regulate the collection of duties on imports and tonnage’, passed on the second day of March, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine,” shall continue in force for two years from the twentieth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and twenty, and, from that time, until the end of the next session of Congress, thereafter, and no longer.
Twenty days from date of clearance for completing entry, &c. in cases of drawback.
Proviso.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That, in all cases of entry of merchandise for the benefit of drawback, the time of twenty days shall be allowed, from the date of the clearance of the ship or vessel in which the same shall be laden, for completing the entry, and taking the oath required by law: Provided, That the exporter shall, in every other particular, comply with the regulations and formalities heretofore established for entries of exportation for the benefit of drawback.
