Chap. XXXI.—An Act to authorize the employing of certain assistants in the general land office.
One draughtsman and two colourers to be appointed in the general land office for one year.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to employ in the general land office, for a term not exceeding twelve months, one assistant draughtsman and two colourers, for the purpose of completing the maps directed to be made by a resolution of the Senate of the United States, passed on the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-three.
