Chap. LXXXV.—An Act authorizing the removal of the office of surveyor general of public lands south of Tennessee.

Public land office removed to Jackson.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That after the first day of April next, the office of the surveyor general of public lands south of Tennessee, shall be kept at Jackson, the seat of government of the state of Mississippi.

Presentation of accounts for surveys.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all accounts for surveys of public lands in the state of Louisiana, nor approved before the first day of April next, shall be presented with the proper returns of such surveys, to the office of the surveyor general of public lands for the state of Louisiana, for settlement and allowance.
