Chap. II.An Act for the relief of Mrs. Harrison, widow of the late President of the United States.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Appropriation to Mrs. Harrison. That the Secretary of the Treasury pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Mrs. Harrison, widow of William Henry Harrison, late President of the United States, or, in the event of her death before payment, then to the legal representatives of the said William Henry Harrison, the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars:Proviso. Provided always, That any sum of money which shall have been paid to the personal representatives of the said William Henry Harrison since his death, on account of his salary as President of the United States, shall be deducted from the said sum of twenty-five thousand dollars.
