Chap. XLIV.—An Act to authorize the allowance of a credit to William Tarewell.

Allowance to William Tazewell.Be it enacted, &c., That in settling the accounts of William Tazewell, secretary of Elbridge Gerry, late envoy extraordinary from the United States of America to the French Republic, the Secretary of State ​be, and he is hereby authorized to allow the reasonable expenses incurred by the said William Tazewell, in consequence of his being captured on his return to the United States.
