On 29 September 2006, Jimbo Wales, the founder of the Wikimedia Foundation, commented against certain ways to use userpages, which may violate wmf:Policy:Terms of Use#4. Refraining from Certain Activities:

On May 2022, a Meta userpage self-described having retired, but it was found using Russian language to criticize Ukrainian Wikipedia and its users, thus suspected of harassment while false retiring. The questionable versions were deleted in August 2022, and m:User:MF-Warburg requested archiving the discussion on 1 December 2022.
