I am an employee of the Smithsonian Institution Libraries, working on Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL). The Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) is a consortium of natural history and botanical libraries that cooperate to digitize and make accessible the legacy literature of biodiversity held in their collections and to make that literature available for open access and responsible use as a part of a global “biodiversity commons.” BHL also serves as the foundational literature component of the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL). I will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikisource. My main edits will consist of adding open access texts to Wikisource. I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration.
