Religion in China consists of a range of religious, spiritual and philosophical traditions. Confucianism and Taoism, later joined by Buddhism collectively form the intertwined "Three Teachings". Folk religions and superstition also has a long history. Christianity, introduced in the 16th century by missionaries, and Islam, common in some minorities, also have a presence in China.
