Julius Caesar image deleted

Hi Evil berry, the image Image:Julius_Caesar_Italian_marble_19th_c..jpg, used in Augustus. The life and times of the founder of the Roman Empire (B.C. 63-A.D. 14)/Childhood and Youth, B.C. 63-44 and in The Women of the Caesars/Livia and Julia has been deleted from the Commons, apparently because of missing licence information. Does this image belong to these works as they were published, or did you include them for added value? If the former, please re-upload the image to the Commons, with proper licence information this time; otherwise these works would be incomplete. template tweak

I'm guessing that the recent work on Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology by 134.58.127.72 (talk • contribs) is your work ?

I've made a change to {{Template:DGRBM/G.L.}} so that the parameter isnt required, and I have created Author:George Long to present a list of his works. It probably wont be feasible to continue to display a complete list of his articles once more are identified, but at present it looks nice to have some examples of his work listed. Easy anchors

Use of Author: namespace rather than Categories

Gday. I see that you have created a template and category for an author. Templates are very useful in that scenario, however, rather than have a category to collect like pages, we think that we have a better means with our Author: namespace and create the page Author:Edward Boucher James. I use the copy at the Internet Archive. You also got Full text version, but it needs a lot of correcting (especially because "y" turn into "v"). Evil berry (talk) 19:25, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Obviously we have been keeping some secrets about our better tools to enable this sort of work. I have imported a .djvu file of the work to Index:The Amazing Emperor Heliogabalus.djvu and using our proofreading tools we can edit against the text. This can then be transcluded into the main namespace.

If you look at the Index page, if you click on the redlink, it will open that page, and also import the text layer (the same as linked above) for correction. FYI: Page templates have anchors

Saw that you added a span id, when the pages are transcluded, the page markers on the left have anchors built-in that already do what you are after. billinghurst sDrewth 16:00, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Excuse the interuption. They are harmless, but you don't need those span ids, a link with # added will target an original page number. A link like The_Amazing_Emperor_Heliogabalus/Chapter_III#59 or as a url will go to that page number. Regards, Cygnis insignis (talk) 10:58, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
