PIGOTT, Montague Horatio Mostyn Turtle, M.A., B.C.L.; barrister of the Middle Temple author and journalist; b. 9 Aug. 1865; s. of Robert Turtle Pigott, D.C.L.; unmarried. Educ. Westminster School; University College, Oxford, 2nd class honours in classical moderntions and in law; scholarship in international and constitutional law at the Middle Temple; for ten years coached pupils for the Bar examination. Publications: contributor to many papers and magazines, particularly The World; author and composer of many songs; author of various lyrics and of a play entitled All Fletcher's Fault, produced at the Avenue Theatre, and of Common Room Carols, Two on a Tour, and Songs of a Session; Founder and first editor of The Isis.
