Educ.: Public and High Schools, Prescott, Ontario; Victoria University, Coburg, Ontario, Canada. Graduated B.A. in 1885 from Victoiia University, Coburg, Ontario, now affiliated with Toronto University; M.A. and B.D. in 1890; entered probation for ministry of Methodist Church of Canada 1885; ordained 1888, in Montreal, Quebec; travelled following circuits: Carleton Place, Malburytown, Cardinal, Calabogie and Princess St., Kingston, Ontario; arrived in Japan, Sept., 1890; teacher of English in Middle and Normal Schools at Tsu, Ise, Doshisha Schools in Kyoto, and Hokuetsu Gakuin, Niigata, Echigo; also teacher in Academic and Theological Departments of Anglo-Japanese College, Az abu, Tokyo; since Sept., 1893, has been Superintendent of the Central Tabeinacle of the Japan Mission of the Missionary Society of the Methodist Church in Canada, at Hongo, Tokyo.
