HASEGAWA, Yoshinosuke (TOKYO), Doctor of Engineering; b. Hizen, Dec. 1855. Educ.: U.S.A., and, from 1875 to 1880, in Germany. Engaged by Mitsubishi Firm to take charge of its mining department; made success of Yoshioka Copper Mine; subsequently left the firm to start business 011 his own account, owns two or three coal-mines in Kyushu; in 1902, sat for a short while in the House of Representatives.
