Accepted professorship in English at St. Paul's College; translates lectures for the Trinity Divinity School, Tokyo; writer for many prominent journals in Japan; formerly Director of foreign department of Hakubun Kan and one of organisers of Japan Industrial Association; was proprietor of Tokyo Practical English School and School of Politics, Tokyo.
