Joshua Hoyle, S.T.B., was substituted by the above- mentioned authority the same day and year, viz. 10th July 1648. He died 6th Dec. 1654, and was buried in the old chapel belonging to this college. He was also Regius professor of divinity. Francis Johnson, M.A., fellow 0/ All Souls college^ was thrust into this mastership by the power of Oliver Cromwell in 1655, but presently after the Restoration he was obliged to give way to the right owner. Thomas Walkee, now S.T.P., was restored 31st July 1660. He died 5th Dec. 1665, and was buried in the church of St. Peter-in-the-East. Richard Clayton, S.T.B., canon residentiary of Salis- lishury and late fellow of this college^ was elected 29th Dec. 1665. He died at Salisbury loth June 1676, and was buried in the cathedral. Obadiah Walker, M.A., was elected 22nd June 1676, and deprived in 1688. Edward Ferrar, S.T.P., was elected 15th Feb. 1688-9, and died 13th Feb. 1690— i. Thomas Benett,S.T.B., was elected 3rd March 1690-1, and died 12th May 1692. Akthur Chaulett, S.T.P., succeeded in 1692. Ob. 4th Nov. 1722. Thomas Cockman^^. Ob. ist Feb. 1744-5.
