He removed to Alabama in 1855, and engaged in agricultural pursuits and took an active part in the restoration of the state to its place in the union. In 186973 he was a representative from Alabama to the forty-first and forty-second congresses as a democrat. He died April 3, 1891, in Huntsville, Ala. Doxey, Charles T., congressman.
