He has given hundreds of organ recitals in the principal cities of the United States and America; and has composed numerous pieces for the organ. He is the author of The Church and Concert Organist; and The Organ in Church. Eddy, Daniel Clark, clergyman, author, was born May 21, 1823, in Salem, Mass. He was a baptist clergyman of Boston, and later of Brooklyn. He was the author of

The Percy Family, and Walter's Tour in the East, two series of volumes for young readers; Young Man's Friend; Young Woman's Friend; The Burman Apostle, a Life of Judson; Roger Williams and the Baptists; The Unitarian Apostasy; Europa, or Scenes in the Old World; Waiting at the Cross; and Angel Whispers. He died July 26, 1896, in Cottage City, Mass. Eddy, Ebenezet J. Foster, soldier, scientist, was bom Jan. 15, 1847, in Moretown, Vt. Eddy, John H., geographer, author, was born in 1782. He published a circular map of the country for thirty miles around New York in 1814; a map of the western part of New York; a map to illustrate the communication between Lake Erie and the Hudson; a map of the state of New York; and was engaged on a general atlas of America at the time of his death. He died Dec. 22, 1817, in New York. Eddy, Mrs. Mary Baker Glover, author. She is a resident of Concord, N.H., widely known as the founder of the sect of christian scientists.
