For twelve years he was engaged in preparing a Life of Mirabeau. In 1S97 he founded the association of Nebraska teachers of history. He is the author of Outline of Historical Method; and Studies in Greek Civilization. Flinn, Andrew, educator, clergyman, was born in 1773 in Maryland. In 1811-20 he was pastor of the Scotch presbyterian church of Charleston, S.C. In 1812 he was moderator of the general assembly of the presbyterian church. He died Feb. 24, 1820, in Charleston, S.C. Flint, Abel, clergyman, author, was born Aug. 6, 1765, in Windham, Conn. He was an editor of the Connecticut Evangelical Magazine; and one of the founders of the Connecticut Bible society in 1809. He was the author of Ceometry and Trigonometry, with a Treatise on Surveying. He died March 7, 1825. in Hartford, Conn. Flint, Albert Stowell, astronomer, was born Sept. 12. 1853, in Salem, Mass. He has been assistant of the United States transit of Venub commission at Washington, D.C. and is now astronomer at the Washburn observatory of the university of Wisconsin.
