sheep came in empty and lambs very tired; as he had driven them much faster than we had the sheep. He found one ewe dead by the way lost by Connor.
MAY 3.
Finished Hut; lams pen etc etc & came home with Tucker at 9 p.m. Lewington caught a fine kangaroo & almost broke his leg. Counted 657 sheep 156 lambs.
MAY 4.
Very ill, but went to Ws to try & get stores, with Mr. Darling who had remained with Taylor at home, while we were all out.
MAY 5.
Returned as far as McCourt's camp.
MAY 6.
Came home early. Men at work.
MAY 7.
Sunday.
MAY 8.
T. L. & A with team to Bullrush pool, the 2 former to remain & cut rails; & A to go to Middleton with team, for the use of which, he will give me flour.
MAY 9.
All the men out at station and felling rails.
Barque "Douglas" arrived yesterday & I went down to W's at p.m.
