Out on foot stock hunting.

MAY 3.

Men as before repairing porions of wall, which had fallen down. Seven days after the fall of rain the whole of the run was quite green.

MAY 4.

Out after cattle all looking very well, since the rain: & in fine grass. Lewington came home from Withnall's & reported that the flat had gone adrift.

MAY 5.

Went with Laing in search of flat, taking team with us to bring up dingy to Withnall's & 2 bags of flour home.

MAY 6.

Still searching for flat in all directions, down to Inlet without success.

(The only cargo boat).

Shot a native dog.

MAY 7.

Still searching.

MAY 8.

Sunday. Still looking, found today.
